Get real.  Gamers/InternetFanbois could be all happy smiley faces about a disc-less console, especially if offered as parallel option...
Problem still remains retail channel partners... If MS wants them to sell off their own future, Sony (and Ninty) has a new model that can fill shelves.

Bingo!  GameStop and the link, are really trying to stay alive.  They don't want to go the way of Video Stores, Music Stores, Movie Stores, DVD stores, Movie Rental, etc.

They need stuff on their shelves for people to browse. 

Does anyone remember the controversy when those stores started selling Used games?  The Gaming Industry had to cave, and now around 50% of their profits come from reselling games.  But with console says becoming more digital they are going to be running out of products to resell in a few years.
