No they didn't, but what's that to say that Nintendo won't say something around that time. I think that they will announce basic NX information pre-E3 to get exposer. I think it's in their best interest to do so. I also think, and I hope that they have a real press conference this year.

Because it would be a terrible way to reveal a platform you're trying to sell. Why would Nintendo reveal their new platform at a business meeting no one pays attention to when they've specifically built a platform to make these kinds of announcements with via Nintendo Directs?

Just because they don't reveal the NX at the meeting doesn't mean they won't reveal it before E3. In fact, they have to. If the NX is coming out this holiday, that means it's launching with 3rd party games that haven't been announced for it yet. Two major third party Devs are having press conferences before Nintendo, and they are undoubtedly going to have launch games for it...

...launch games they will want to say will be on NX. If it's not revealed until Nintendo's E3 Digital Event, they won't be able to confirm the NX versions of their games. That would be very bad for Nintendo.

I think we'll get a Direct soon revealing the name and how it looks. It'll probably be the same direct that announces their E3 presence and schedule. But I now doubt we will get anything interesting about the NX at the meeting other than a confirmation that it will release this coming fiscal year.
