Huh?? That's just not true. Having alot of credit and being responsible with it will actually raise your score. You don't want to get too many cards, but you can also cancel them anytime.

My point was you can get the sony card, buy the PS3, pay it off, and then cancel the card. If your capable of following through, then there is no reason not to save the $100.


That's just flat out wrong. Every time you apply for a card, it creates an inquiry in the system. These inquiries lower your score.

Also, even if you don't use the card at all, the system treats it as open credit. Too much open credit also lowers your score.
