The only reason I can see anyone having a problem with this and merged sales figures is that they have an agenda that involves dividing up PS4 sales in the interest of downplaying sales dominance.

I'm assuming SCE is still planning on maintaining production of the original PS4 as a low cost alternative, but who knows. It may be more cost effective to produce one logic board with the updated chipset. But with the rumored $399 MSRP, SCE would be losing the $350 consumer demographic as this would be an effective price increase despite the higher specs and overall performance.
