Don't make me take your username seriously. I was about to post a list with 100s of games I found on a list of XBLA games, but I don't wanna read a boring mod post. I know Indie and small games used to be bashed during X360 era but please. |
Every once in a while I need to try and remind people that my username is what it is and give them a reason why I chose it. My post was largely in jest, though not well conveyed. Fact is though that toward the end even though they did have other games come out, most of the marketing stuck to the safe zone that was the Forza/Halo/Gears trio. The stereotype exists for a reason, even if those of us who go further than just one site and some commercials for our information know it isn't a completely accurate picture.

He just named a few, to break out the idea of the Forza/Gears/Halo trio being the only worthwile thing post-kinect. Not counting the multiplatforms you could get on PS3 as well, there's also Alan Wake, Fable, State of Decay, The Witcher 2, The Gunstringer, Ninety-Nine Nights (the sequel I think), Max: the curse of brotherhood, Titanfall, Zoo Tycoon, Akai Katana, Tropico, Gray Matter, Arcania (though it released on PS4 recently), plus certain other games that were exclusive to either America or Europe (not counting Japan obviously, especially for those we couldn't import due to region locking). That's around 18 (worthwile) games in the span of 7 years. I mean, it's still not as good as it could have been, and certainly the first three/four years of the 360 beat the several next ones out in quality and quantity, but hey. |
For me multi-platform games never really count, but I am the "all consoles every gen" type of gamer. I generally go with where the best version of the multiplat is, and enjoy the exclusives that the other consoles offer. Alan Wake and Fable were two of my favorite offerings on the 360. The others, imo, all meh. Though I didn't play Witcher 2, and loved 3.
