I'd say this actually goes hand in hand with complaints that have been heard from people who whine about having to beat Trauma Center on Easy or not being able to win 150cc races in Mari Kart. Some people an irrational and selfish expectation that a game should be designed specifically for their skill level, and no higher or lower.

But why on earth would a developer want to design games this way? Would you want to exclude those who find your game too hard or too easy? Why cut off 2/3 of your potential sell base by targeting a narrow skill level? You want to have content which appeals to all skill levels so that your game can be enjoyed by as many people as possible. This is harder to do with some games than others. Some games can simply scale up the damage that enemies do or increase AI accuracy or aggression. Other games have to make some levels which might not appeal to high skill players and other levels which won't be completed by low skill players.

The moral of the story is don't be a whiny princess if a game has some content which is too hard or too easy for you. You only really have a right to bitch if all content in a game is designed for a particular skill level. And SMG is not one of those games. Anybody who claims it is has ADD and should be ignored.

"The worst part about these reviews is they are [subjective]--and their scores often depend on how drunk you got the media at a Street Fighter event."  — Mona Hamilton, Capcom Senior VP of Marketing
