Actually, I'm talking about the European numbers, since the GTAIV bundle was only available there AFAIK. While we did see a decent rise in sales, there certainly wasn't a massive spike in sales.
And neither VGC or NPD showed a massive spike in sales. So even if May sales improve, it's probably not going to be anywhere near what some people predicted.
I'm not saying there won't be a good rise in sales for MGS4, but if anything is to be learned, you shouldn't count your chickens before they are hatched. Especially some of the bigger fanboys were way off, see the GTAIV is the death of the Wii thread for reference.
