Until they start offering Wii demos on the Nintendo Channel I don't see this as a problem really. Personally I've had a Wii since launch and have yet to run out of space even with numerous VC downloads.
Besides, how many VC/Wiiware games do you simultaneously need available? I've deleted a few VC games already just since they never got played anymore. I can always redownload them if I choose.
Hopefully Nintendo will do a system update that will allow any harddrive to be plugged in, even if they don't advertise it, just to please the core gamers.
