They still have a long way to go before development of Shovel Knight is complete. They reached every stretch goal for the Kickstarter campaign, which included additional single-player campaigns based on some of the bosses. And there are still two of them to go. There are also new modes too. So I wouldn't expect a new Shovel Knight game to be announced within the next 2 years.
