Lucy 7/10. It starts out as an 8, ends as a 6. A cross between Crank, Limitless, Akira and Transcendence. Don't think too much about it, it's a fun ride, although the story seems to be written around the set pieces and the characters belong in a comic book.
The hateful eight. 9/10 The love of cinema shines through this no holds barred western drama. Tarantino easily manages to keep a movie that's pretty much set in 1 location fascinating to watch throughout. The characters are all great, as well as the location itself. Digging up those old lenses was not for nothing, so much more to see in all those lovely wide shots. I'll be double dipping when the roadshow version comes to 4K UHD.
