Zelda port is the reason for the delay.

Splatoon 2 is almost certain, but Splatoon is less than one year old and its very popular, so it make sense to have port ready for NX launch and few years later to release Splatoon 2.

And they just dropped 8 new weapons!  Who knows when more content comes out.
