Unless you have a boost... I am definately faster through there on time trials than I am going normally. but then Maple Treeway is one of my poorest tracks. (I still beat your latest time though
)
In a race it isn't much use though... although I have used it because if you go up there you go to almost last place, pick up a cool power up then use the two boost pads to be back in 3rdish by the cannon.
