Well if you are eventually picking up a 4ktv you will get this anyway as newer TV's will comply. 4k is already cheaper now and will be very cheap by this time next year. I must admit to being extremely impressed with my TV. But then it is a 65inch and I cant see there being much reason to buy again just yet if you have a smaller screen. You are tight though, the claim of some huge advantage is a bit off to say the least. |
I'm just a little cautious. They always come up with something new just to sell some more TVs. First it was HD, then you absolutely needed Full HD for some reason, then it was 3D which nobody had asked for but still was the rage for a year or so, now it's 4K and as that apparently isn't enough to sell more TVs, they come up with HDR.
I mean, I'm sure there are benefits of the tech, but not so much that it would justify the purchase of a brand new TV. At least not for most people. That's also why I don't see this being an advantage for the PS4K at all.
Personally, I still have my LG TV from 2010. Still works like a charm. Misses a bagillion features of modern TVs, but at least it has Full HD resolution. I will use that sucker until it breaks down on me. I don't have a problem with using it 10 more years at all, I'm totally fine with the image quality.
