I know that because the visuals are all there in the reveal trailer. Everything I have said about it had been from the footage, and not something I am assuming. This is just the beginning too. I imagine they can do even more with the paper aesthetics. And the idea of making it a paper theme was just the team loving the look and idea of the concept, looking like a sort of picture book, so they went with it. It wasn't to make development easier. I don't see anything that makes it bad. I just see a game with an interesting idea with a lot of potential. I'd like to know why it's different in a bad way. Also, as far as I know, Mario has always been mute in the game. The video may have been made by GameXplain, but it doesn't change the fact that it focuses on Paper Mario, as well as turning some of that doubt into interest. |
Erm you are just assuming since they didn't say whether or not the graphics took a lot of effort. Paper Mario was Intelligent Systems first foray into 3D, so they went with a paper aesthetic to make adjusting to such a huge change easier. Based on the rest of your post, I have to ask if you've played any of the Paper Mario games. If you haven't that might be why we're even having this discussion. Play Thousand Year Door then Sticker Star and all should become crystal clear.
Well that doesn't change the fact that the video was made by Gamexplain and the content within the video is their discussion about a game, not the game itself. It doesn't make any sense to dislike one video about a game and then like another video about it that provides no new information, so they must like it for it the GameXplainess, that's why I still like it atleast. Once they show off the game again still looking like Sticker Star 2 the remaining uncertainty/denial should turn into distaste.
