The reason they champion it was because the majority of last gen 720 was the standard. 1080p should be the standard this gen. If you cannot have that then the framerate better be at a clean 60 fps to make up for it. Of course the standards for PC are higher but console devs seem to be missing the boat on PC ports by leaps and bounds.
