You know, this wouldn't surprise me. Like some people noted, the team behind Splatoon is probably busy developing the first HD Animal Crossing for NX (and probably a party title as well), so they might order an outside dev to just remaster Splatoon. And I'm sure this is a good move, especially if it's a launch title. I'm sure it'll bring more players (kids that like online shooters). In my eyes, Nintendo might try to bring as many different publics as possible, so they might release the thing with Zelda, a big casual title, a strong niche game (like Pikmin) and some ports like Splatoon. Maybe even a 3D Mario... who knows? We shall see.
