Because the indie hate is SOOO strong that any game that person isn't personally familiar with is considered indie.

That seems to be the case for most gamers. Thinking something is an indie just because it's not a halo or uncharted.

It's crazy to assume that ps plus subscribers would get 2 free AAA games every month for 12 months. It's no where near a realistic expectation. Just a few free AAA games by themselves would offset the cost of PS plus. Indies are the icing on the cake in my opinion.
