Food from your area would be one of the few things that would make me travel to the states one day. I like that kitchen a lot, mostly because it tastes very intensive while using mostly basic ingredients.

We Southerners do take a lot of pride in our cusine. If you ever find yourself in the Augusta area, check out Sconyer's Barbecue and Old MacDonald's Fish Camp. There's a lot of other good local eateries around here, but they're probably my two favorites and they have some of the most distinctively Southern food around here. I may not particularly care for the politics of most people around here (I'm one of the very few white male liberals around here), but the food is one of the biggest reasons why I'd never want to leave, the others being the climate, the low cost of living, and, y'know, the fact that everything I've ever known is here in the Augusta area. For better or for worse, it's home.

Surely must be a nice spot there. Southern food must be quite healthy as well, right? Lots of fish, beans, corn, rice, breads, all the good stuff.
