So a tidbit that was overlooked that may indicate that Falco isn't the only hard mode: the amiibos only effect the Arwing, not the other vehicles. So it doesn't do a blanket difficulty adjustment. So it's possible a proper hard mode will be available via medal collecting. Andre did say he isn't yet allowed to talk about unlockable features. I hope that's the case. This is one of the few Amiibo usages that really bothers me (ironically in the same game as one that doesn't (the retro Arwing is, IMO, the kind of content that works for Amiibo)).
