Splatoon and SMM are the one-two punch the Wii U needed from launch, and are basically perceived as the two must-have games in Japan for the system. Pokken is also doing nicely at the moment but we'll see how long its legs last (I don't expect it to be anywhere near as good as the 3 games in the OP, but it can do good enough for itself).
