Yeah, I have been apart of the industry since... well, the early 80's when I was a little kid playing Atari. I saw the jump from that system to NES, Genesis, PS1, Dreamcast, Xbox 360... and this is the first generation where buying a new console felt like buying the same console I already owned. The only significant difference is the UI and how fast and smooth it is. The actual gaming side is meh.
Hopefully Sony learns from this and creates a true next generation console with PS5.
