No chance. There hasn't been a mainline Final Fantasy game on a Nintendo home console for 20 years. The NX is coming in mid-generation competing against a userbase of well over 60 million(PS4 and Xbox 1). Nintendo's last home console was a flop. Third party titles tend to sell much lower on Nintendo consoles compared to Xbox and Playstation. Even Square's Western/US flavored titles like Hitman skip Nintendo's consoles and the US is Nintend biggest market. Do I need to go on?

Even then, if NX is successful, and remember here that successful dosent mean 100 million units lifetime sold, it will get games from everyone. If NX sells, it dosent matter if the last console was a flop, or if FF hasnt been at a Nintendo home console for 1000 years(this argument is so flawed by the way) or even the mythos that third party sells bad in Nintendo consoles. If NX succeeds, they will get it.

I understand and totally agree with you IF we look at those individual factors taken in isolation. However when combined, it does not really paint a pretty picture. Nintendo's relations with 3rd party developers has been terrible since at least the Nintendo 64(and only just bad on the SNES) when they were charging exorbitant royalties for publishers per cartridge.

The Wii sold well over 100 million units, and yet, did not see a single mainline Final Fantasy. So the notion of "if the NX sells, it will get it" is far from being an absolute truth. I could understand if you said "if the NX is powerful enough and garners a large enough userbase, then it will get it", but you didn't say that :P

But hey, I could be very wrong on this one, just my opinion on the subject.
