If I remember correctly, the "leaks" said that NX wouldn't compete with PS4. If NX has a 30% more powerful CPU and a 50% more powerful GPU, does compete with PS4 in terms of power?
Also, that would explain why ports would be easier to develop for NX, 3rd parties wouldn't need to work hard to optimize the PS4 code to make their games run on NX.
Please note that this is all based on this leak, which I treat as nothing more than pure speculation.
