I agree that skilled players will do well regardless, but with everyone starting off with every powerful weapons, skilled players cannot prohibit less experienced(and other experienced) players from obtaining those weapons like they could in say Quake III or Unreal Tournament. I feel this way done on purpose in order to avoid casual gamers simply raging and quitting the game altogether. Just my opinion.

Chances are the over-powered weapons will be nerfed to some extent. Hell in Black Ops 3 some of the originally over-powered submachine guns(Vesper...) have been nerfed so far to oblivion that the increased recoil makes them essentially unusable!!

I get what you're saying, stopping players from getting powerful weapons is referred to as map control. The Halo series has also put a focus on that.

However, giving all players powerful weapons creates a different problem. Frankly, I'm just not having fun playing a game with people instagibing with shotguns. I'd rather have the controls of this game with the gunplay of UT3. But then we still got the health pack thing which just doesn't fit in muliplayer shooters like this.
