The problem with altering an existing character comes from the fact it is obvious they are only doing it for the press. However a new IP can give much more depth to the character and that persons story, unbound by previous lore. In fact, should they invest in said IP, it would show more support than just pissing off fans of a franchise by taking the cheap way out. ;) |
