Do you forget that the casual market exists? There is an entire segment of people who buy video game systems SOLELY to play sports games. A lot of those people will have bought a new PS4 to play the new baseball game. Next year, the same thing will happen with a new group of casual sports gamers. It's why you see hardware upticks around Madden, MLB, and FIFA. |
Really? Alright then, so when Madden 16 launched, XB1 sales increased 56% for one week, and 14% for the PS4 WW. That was 1 week, after that MGS V launched, PS4 sales increased again, while the XB1 went down. FIFA allowed for a 27% increase in PS4 sales that week, and 14% for the XB1. And that was a week, in which after it tapered off. So yes, it allows for 1 week spikes, and then goes back down.
Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).
