The 3DS version is just as good as the Wii version. I got them both. I havent reached the final stages of the game on the 3DS though, where the Wii version would slow down to crawl to see how the 3DS performs.
The downside of the 3DS is that the game is clearly designed for a bigger screen. The menus have small fonts as a result or are a bit cluttered. Still, the 3DS is a decent way to experience the game.
