It takes alot of CPU power to emulate the cpu inside a wii, on x86.
Dolphin basically only makes use of 2 cores, so the faster those 2 cores are the better.
Intel is much better than amd for dolphin, and esp if you can overclock.
You basically want a Haswell or newer architecture.
Something like a G3258 (pentium haswell (dual core)) for 60$ can overclock to 4.2-4.6 ghz (luck of the draw with silicon).
Its the budget way to deal with dolphin.
If you cant do that, the next best thing is playing it on a Wii.
