Assuming what you say is true, have you ever watched a BD on one of them? You can notice the difference. Although I can't prove this happened, just take my word for it: One time when I was watching a BD, an older friend of mine (she's like 70 and doesn't care a whit about tech stuff) came over and her immediate reaction to the movie was, and I quote "Wow. That picture is really clear." And she said that before I said anything about BD or HD or whatever.
Just try BD on a big screen...juussst once....
