No.  I didn't.  The industry did.  Which has been the accepted standards for over 30 years.

I mean if you want to tell thousands of developers, publishers, the media, etc...and the platform makers, that they are wrong, be my guest.  But don't claim that I arbitrarily decided which generation the Gameboy belongs to.

In that case, why did the industry decide it was a part of generation 4 and not generation 5 or generation 6? What criteria did they use?
