Personally I found Mad Max quite good. The fact its plot was just a simple vehecile to move the story alone has little impact on the movie. Star Wars, Mad Max, etc are not supposed to by Physcological thillers with a mindbending plot. They are fun movies with a plot that is simple there to give the characters a reason to do the things they do. (also you kinda blew your cover with the comment that only Star Wars fanboys thought the movie was good) |

Yes, Mad Max wasn't great unless all you like is explosions.
I don't need a complex movie - just one that doesn't treat the watcher as an idiot. And also that doesn't put me to sleep like TFA. I think I dozed off during Deadpool too.
And I don't see how anyone can see past the issues with TFA unless they are big fans of the franchise.
