I really haven't been following everything, but people often hate things that were popular way more than things that are not.  Which is the reason why people say things like how Skyward Sword is terrible, or Call of Duty is the worst franchise in gaming while way worse games get way less hate.

Prequels were teerrible.  I can't think of a reason to like them better aside from contrarianism.

Or maybe... just maybe... i try to enjoy the movies without allowing what other people think bother me or change the way i form my opinion?

The prequals had a plot that made sense. They had a beggining and an end. I wansnt left asking: who is this character? Why is she important? Why did these planets get destroyed? What are they? Why did a whole faction that is widely known to be evil get purposedly ignoreduntil they built a freaking planet weapon without anyone knowing anything about it?

Just cause theres a dumb silly character jumping around tripping and beeing silly, its not gonna impede my enjoyment of the movie. It was meant as comic relief to keep a light mood.  In SW7 it wasnt one aspect, it was everything! There were plot whole everywhere. None of it made any sense. It was disjointed and hastily put together.

So, yeah take your contrarianism and keep it. Even if it was, i would be in my right to like what i want. I like things that are popular and i like things that arent popular. If you need other people to tell you what you like... then well... that is your perrogative.

I didnt enjoy your swiss cheese movie. Live with it.

"A bad movie is a bad movie. A game full of plotholes is a bad movie. If it didnt have STAR WARS in the title that movie would've tanked really hard."

"No. i'm not hating. The movie was just bad. "

Don't pretend I'm attacking your opinions.  Because I'm not.  You're stating them as facts.  If you're doing so, you have to back them up as such.

The planets that got destroyed were part of the Hosnian systems.  Granted, I had to look up the name, but I did clearly remember that they were destroyed because it contained the capital of the New Republic, and a large portion of their military fleet, not to mention part of its leadership.  It was an important target militarily and symbolically.   This is not a plot hole, this is you not paying attention.

The First Order was allowed to exist because the New Republic underestimated them.  This is why Leia started the resistance, because she tried to convince them that the FO was a threat, and got shouted down.  If this seemse unreasonable, take a look at world politics and history, and you'll see that it happens.  As for a planet sized weapon, it's really not that big.  We're talking about a galactic scale here.  Our galaxy has 100 billion planets.  It's really not that hard to believe that an object the size of one of these planets could go unnoticed, particularly as the Galaxy is still rebuilding after the fall of the Empire.

Rey is important because she is sensitive to the force, and there are not many people like that left.  She also has a clear connection to Luke Skywalker, as his lightsaber Awakens memories and abilities in her.  She also displays traits showing that she is HIGHLY gifted in the use of the force such as her piloting ability.  As for a detailed backstory, no we don't get that.  But, leaving some details to be discovered later in a trilogy is not a plothole.

You're free to have whatever opinion you like of the movie.  If you want to say you don't like it, that's one thing.  If you want to say "a bad movie is a bad movie" or "none of it makes sense" or "there were plotholes everywhere", then those are things you have to back up.  If you're saying that you hate it because of plotholes, but can't name any, then that's your option.  And it is my conclusion based on that, that you are indeed a hater.  Haters gon' hate.
