You need to work on some personal stuff if you feel inferior because someone else as a more powerful playstation.
It will not really split the user base, it's will just be a graphical upgrade. The Dsi didn't split the user base, the New 3DS didn't either, the PS4K won't. Now if they are dumb and stop support the PS4 as much, then they'll create a split. But if they do that, it's not just an upgraded machine, it will become a new system. So that defeat the purpose.
So just stop with all this panick and "what ifs" it's will be the same system, the same games, that just runs better at higher resolution. Nothing else
