It would be possible, but at what costs? How would the games look like? Either low graphical fidelity or games with longer development periods and higher expenses. Either way a next gen console up to the task would wear a higher price tag than an Xbox One at release. In a range of 600-900.-? I think PS4.5 is an upgraded PS4. That simple. The .5 indicates an addition to the base, namely Playsation 4. Maybe just a another PS4 version (slim) or PS4+PSVR=PS4.5. |
I think this is all it really is(with 4K playback for blu-ray, Netflick's etc). Sony have never done a performance upgrade via physical hardware during a generation on their home consoles except for the PS2 slim where the CPU was overclocked by a very minimal amount. Certainly not 1080P-to-2160P resolution though.
