I'm starting to work on this theory that Nintendo, seeing what happened with motion controls after the Wii, will try by itself to take down the mobile market.

Let me explain: Nintendo will force us into digital buttons that feel great (for the first few years) but on the long run people will start getting anoyed by the touch controls meaning that less and less people will be buying smartphones. It's at that point that Nintendo will release an all new Handheld, basically a beefed up GBA that'll sell bilions !!

The only problem with that is that people aren't buying smartphones for games. They're buying them for other purposes and then just getting smartphone games because they already have a smartphone.

Nintendo is all about the youngsters. If generation Z & Alpha is getting a headstart by using  phones/tablets, a device like this will be more natural to pick up and play.  The traditional controller  is going extinct. However, I'm sure Nintendo will have alternate control schemes and layouts.
