I like your analysis but I'm still unsure of how it will be adopted and utilized by third party developers with the severe lack of physical buttons... I'm cautiously optimistic about this and I will try anything once but I just hope Nintendo does this right.
Also, on a side note, judging from the new photos it doesn't look very comfortable to hold... they really need to add some handles on that thing! Besides that I love how it looks.
