To me the remasters/remakes make up for the lack of new games in some ways. I never considered HD remakes to be something that we should come to expect as Zelda fans, so the fact that there have been two (plus two 3D remakes) has been pleasantly surprising for me. Could you imagine what this gen would have been without the remakes/spinoffs? That would've been bad. Also, Zelda HD will still be on Wii U so technically it will still be part of this gen. That means we'll get:

Two new games (ALBW & Zelda HD)

Four remakes/remasters (OoT3D, WWHD, MM3D, & TPHD)

Three Spin-offs (Hyrule Warriors, Tri-Force Heros, & Hyrule Warriors Legends)

IMO it's hard to call that the worst Zelda gen.

To me not. It's still cheap filler, so the company can still say they released Zelda games, when I have played most of them in the past. Remaster will never be over a new experience.

This, I agree with 100%. To me though, I just have a hard to being upset when they come out and say, "remade versions of OoT & MM can now be played on your 3DS!" Or, "HD remasters of WW and TP can now be played on the Wii U!" I love all those games and the fact that there are now enhanced, improved, definitive versions of all now available is awesome.

Now, Hyrule Warriors/Tri-Force Heroes is another story...certainly not real Zeldas, arguably somewhat enjoyable.
