I doubt that the Wii U will sell much in 2017. Chances are good that NX will be the same price or cheaper.

If they don't cut Wii U's price... then yeah, it won't sell at all. Anyway, this made me remember of the DS/3DS situation where it was selling decently well for an old gen handheld and hurted the 3DS a bit when it was younger. So maybe will cease production (WiiU) to reinforce the focus on NX as well. I don't know.
