Are marketing deals, bundles and exclusive content in 3rd party multiplats pointless?

not pointless , look at AC:unity (bundle with x1) vs AC:S (exclusive mission for ps4) ; it help the x1 version to sell , even if it is behind the ps4 version , it will not be that far from it
