LoL, How much units Sony, allow the people to Pre-order ?, this is not possible something sold-out just on 5 Minuts.

You just need 10,000 americans dieing to get their hands on PS VR, ready for it to go live, spamming F5 key to refresh the page, and all ordering when they get through.

Its not impossible to imagine, it playing out like that.
