Physical copies can be traded for nearly half of it's full retail price. The more popular the game the longer the trade in value and resale value stays up there.
The trading in or reselling of digital copies needs to at least match or better yet, beat the trade in of physical copies. Otherwise what's the point of it other than being a token gesture/pr move.
