Corruption is indeed a very pressing issue in America, all latinamerican countries specifically suffer from this and is a huge part why we can't grow as a whole and instead get idiotic presidents like Maduro, Chavez and kirchner. It's always an extensively discussed issue when is election's season but it's never really a priority of the government untill an specific case becomes mainstream.
A shame.
