It is just a front load because of the current sale, which includes 3 FREE games at 300 bucks. I cant imagine what Microsoft will do on the next months to keep things going. Are they going to lower the price even more? |
They're doing another of the "retailer discount" sales starting on Sunday the 20th, it looks like, in which every bundle is $50 off. Gamestop has it scheduled until the end of April, though I doubt they'd actually raise the price again. So the Quantum Break bundle might sell at $299 and all the 1 tb consoles will sell at $349. It's effectively a price cut, the same way it was in October 2014. Kind of weird that no one is talking about it yet, but it will be interesting to see if it has a similar boost effect as the first "promotional" offer or if all the sales at $299 already will nullify it a bit.
Since Amazon is already selling the Gears system for $299, though, maybe you're right and they'll lower the price even more, ha.
