I dont see how tis project will affect on 3D Mario, especially because Next Level probably doing this game.

I was just going off the phrasing of the rumor. "Planned to be Nintendo's impressive visual launch title." To me that would pretty much exclude a 3D Mario, since those games are usually the ones that try to showcase a system.
