Even if it is, how does that stop 3D Mario? Is NLG even big enough to be making two games at once?

I was just going off the phrasing of the rumor. "Planned to be Nintendo's impressive visual launch title." To me that would pretty much exclude a 3D Mario, since those games are usually the ones that try to showcase a system.
