Why would people use the windows store to get a free console version? It would be likely be digitally attached to your account so you couldnt' sale or trade it.

If PC people are already going to be buying a game, they're probably going to be buying it digitally. So why not buy it from the store that gives you the console version for free when you buy the game there? A lot of PC gamers also own consoles so it makes sense.
