If this were a prequel/sequel I'd think Nintendo would've been smart enough to mention it before the release of TP.  Because I'm certain that would've boost sales moreso.

Yeah, and that would have not represented a problem to show the new one. In fact, it would have helped. Maybe we are speculation too much?
