him implying that a backwards compatible system for handhelds and home consoles that can connect to PCs/phones is hypothetically 'not looking good' is pretty ridiculous.
if the rumors about the NX are true then its a genius idea and will potentially make for a giant library of games for people to look into, rather than continue dividing Nintendo between two fronts.
imagine if all of Nintendo's 3DS and Wii U releases were compatible with each other, suddenly the Wii U library wouldn't look so empty
