I'll buy one once 4k gaming becomes the norm similar to how the last gen was the first gen that really had HD as a norm.
Most people that have HD tvs don't even watch much which is HD on there. My aunts and uncles literally only get to watch HD when they watch Netflix or if they happen to catch the show they like on a HD channel. They don't buy BRs and they certainly don't game.
Considering how consoles are struggling to get games to run at 1080p 60fps, and VR being a big push, I wouldn't be surprised if next gen is more about 2k 30fps instead of 4k considering the jump made from last gen to current gen in terms of performance.
