The WiiU can run GC games if Nintendo put a little effort. It has Wii hardware, right? The Wii's a tweaked GC. Surely it wouldn't take all that much to program a little bit of code to make a GC VC on the WiiU.

The thing about pure software emulation though is a bit different, but that depends on how much effort is put in.

Yeah, the Wii U GCN situation is definitely different.
